                             ORDINANCE NO.   10408 
                 
                 
                  AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING A 15-FOOT
                  WIDE ALLEY RUNNING FROM EAST 5TH STREET TOWARD
                  EAST 3RD STREET SOME 145.02 FEET, MORE
                  PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN.
                 
                 
                                                    
                 
                 
       	    	 SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
       CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby 
closed
       and abandoned a 15-foot wide alley running from East 5th Street
       toward East 3rd Street some 145.02 feet, more particularly
       described herein, and as shown on plat attached hereto and made a 

       part hereof by reference:
            Abandonment of an alley located northeast from East 5th
            Street, between Central Avenue and O'Neal Street.
           
            A 15 foot wide alleyway beginning on the northeast line
            of East 5th Street 130 feet southeast of the
            intersection of the northeast line of East 5th Street
            with the southeast line of Central Avenue, and extending
            northeast some 139.8 feet to the southwest line of a 10
            foot wide alleyway abandoned by City of Chattanooga
            Ordinance No. 9172.  Said 15 foot wide alleyway
            separates lots 1, 2, and 3, and part of lot 4, block 2,
            from lot 19, block 2, Sunrise Terrace Subdivision, as
            shown by plat of record in plat book 7, page 23, ROHC. 
            Tax Map No. 146A-M-10, 11, and 12.
           
           
       	    	 SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance
       shall be effective two (2) weeks from and after its passage as
       provided by law.
